Lotta is in her grandmother's house in the country. She has always been very curious to what might be found on grandmother's attic. One day she sneaks up to see if there might be something interesting. Perhaps there might be old toys after her mother. Or something else fun.
Once up in the attic, she sees that there is not really that much. An old cabinet with a few books. An old bird cage, a few photo albums and some old pillows tossed on the floor.
Soon she feel that the attic does not smell so good, so she opens the window to get some fresh air.
She peeks a little on the books, but her eyes drawn constantly to a particular book. "The Running Horses" She pick the book and sits down on the floor and flip through it.
The book feels different than other books. It's big and thick and looks very old.
She barely have time to open it until it practically explodes with horses running out of the book. The horses are crazy and skip the book cover and jump onto the floor. Once down on the floor they went up on grandmother's drawers, and then out through the window.
Lotta is stiff as a stick and see how more and more horses jump out from the book ....... suddenly she hears that grandmother is on the way up the stairs to the attic ............. ...... she sees grandma pull down the handle on the door ........ the door creaks when grandma opens it, and there she stands! Lotta's beloved grandmother, smiling with a book in hand called "Horses on the wrong track"
